The exchange building was relocated from Gympie and occupied for many years by W. I. Ferguson, an Auctioneer and Real Estate Agent, who served for a time as a Councillor and Chairman of the Noosa Shire. Ferguson extended the original building and his son, Allan William Ferguson, continued on the business for approximately another 50 years. Innumerable auction sales dating from the 1920s were held in this building, which also contained an office used by Solicitors visiting Cooroy from Gympie.Date1925Image NoT0999622
