It was mooted to be first resort of its kind in Australia, incorporating many ‘overseas ideas’. The resort was to consist of three, five-storey towers, and a total of 200 apartments which were sold at an average of $100,000 each. The resort was marketed primarily to Victorians who would visit Noosa on package tours. The holiday complex cost $20 million dollars to develop.
Former AFL player and coach Carl Ditterich was hired as Director of Recreation to supervise leisure activities for guests at the resort. His initial duties were anticipated to include keep fit and sporting functions for the residents.
