When the Stanfield Family decided it was time to sell in 2003, Don made a video for all of the Grice family to remember the wonderful times spent in the Cottage.
This video is also a tribute to Don and his pursuit to record history for all of us and we are thankful for his endeavours.
Following the video are three short silent films taken on Don's super8 camera. They show the years 1978-1984 of family enjoying the cottage and Weyba Creek. These movies are a visual description of the recollections Don makes during his 2003 video.
After the sale of 'Burger Cottage' (which didn't happen until a few years later), the Grice family continues enjoying Weyba Creek having purchased property and residing in the area since 1985.
There are many more hours of video and many photographs (see: Grice Family Collection - Heritage Noosa) of holidays spent enjoying the area, Noosa Main Beach and Noosa North Shore, this is just a small selection.
Don's children, grandchildren and great grandchildren continue to this day to enjoy and take pleasure in the joys of Weyba Creek- and whilst Don has passed, the Grice family pays homage to him by continuing his legacy by taking many photographs and videos of family times together.
We wish to also acknowledge the Stanfield, Burger and Pratt families for sharing their property and love of Weyba with us. Without them this story may not of been captured.
