Peregian Beach Bowls Club
DETAILS
Additional InformationFounded in 1960, the Peregian Beach Bowls Club played host to competitions and community sport for many decades. With falling membership and support, the Club was taken over by Pine Rivers Lawn Bowls Club in 2006. Despite this, the Club was declared insolvent in March 2010, just short of its 40th anniversary in July of that year.
After a failed relaunch and the failure of proposals for the land to be used for the retail sector, Noosa Shire Council purchased the land for future community use in December 2014.
12 January 2015 saw the start of the demolishing of the buildings and community input was sought as to the future of the site.
In 2018 the Peregian Beach Digital Hub was built. Owned and operated by Noosa Council’s Economic Development department it is a purpose-built facility designed to house multiple technology companies and individual workers.Address4-7, Rufous Street, Peregian Beach
