Noosa Waters was developed over nine years beginning in 1991. The first release for sale sold out within eight weeks. Jim Cox, former managing director of Myer Properties Ltd, was an influential director at the time. The Urban Development Institute of Australia voted Noosa Waters the best Queensland Development in 1996 and 1997.
