Description
The Ridgewood Hall was opened in 1935, and the occasion was celebrated with a community ball. The hall was built by Mr W. H. Pickering of Imbil at a cost of £500 and was 60 feet by 40 feet with a stage and supper room. The land had been donated by Mr McKellar. The first Ridgewood Hall committee comprised Mr L. G. Arscott (Chairman), G.H. Smith (Hon Secretary), W. Lowe, J. Greber and R. Carter. An Honour Roll for World War Il was hung in the hall after 1945. In 1998-1999, the hall was restumped, and a veranda added on the eastern side.Address2,Donnelly's Road,Ridgewood
