June Colley is a former local government politician who served as a Noosa Shire councillor for 13 consecutive years. First elected to represent Division 2 in March 1991, she won four consecutive terms before deciding not to seek re-election in 2004.
During her tenure, Colley served under Mayors Noel Playford and Bob Abbot. She participated in key regional decisions, including the implementation of the landmark 1997 Noosa Strategic Plan and the opening of the Noosa Aquatic Centre.
After retiring from politics in 2004, Colley shifted her focus to community service and local history. She became a long-term member and leader within the QCWA (Queensland Country Women’s Association) Tewantin-Noosa Branch, managing fundraising and community advocacy projects.
Additionally, she worked as an archivist and historian with the Tewantin Heritage and Historical Society. In this role, she helped lead preservation initiatives such as the "Noosa Remembers" project, which documented and preserved the histories of local pioneers and military veterans.
