Additional Information
The Golden Jubilee (50 Years) – The school celebrated its 50th anniversary on October 4, 1947. Historical Context: By this time, it was known as the Pomona State Rural School. Highlights: The celebration marked the school's growth from an initial roll call of just 35 pupils walking along bullock tracks to a major educational hub with over 280 primary and vocational students. A special commemorative jubilee booklet was published to document the early pioneering days, timber-getting history, and the long-standing tenure of Head Teacher George Grant Dan (who served for over 33 years).
