Alternative NameDavo's Tackle World NoosaAdditional InformationBruce William Davidson—affectionately known as "Davo"— opened Davo's Bait & Tackle on the Noosaville waterfront in 1982. The original storefront was initially established at the corner of Gympie Terrace and James Street. As the business grew, it was relocated just down the road to a more prominent spot on the corner of Gympie Terrace and Thomas Street, situated just a short cast away from the main Noosa River boat ramp.
Following his 1992 election victory as the Member for Noosa, Davidson decided to step away from retail to focus entirely on his parliamentary duties. In 1993, he sold the iconic bait shop to Greg and Cheryl Lacey. The Lacey family operated the business for nearly two decades, carefully preserving the trusted "Davo's" name.
In 2011, the business entered its next chapter when it was sold to Peter Wells. To accommodate growing demand and expand its inventory, the shop was relocated to the Noosa Homemaker Centre on Thomas Street, operating as Davo's Tackle World Noosa.
