Martin's Tewantin Hotel was built by Dan Martin between June 1901 and December 1901 and first licensed on 4 January 1902. The original four-roomed, two storey hotel was later extended into a grand accommodation house, with dining and bar facilities downstairs and twenty guest rooms above. The hotel had frontages to both the Noosa River and Lake Doonella and had a dance hall alongside. The hotel burnt down in 1940.
