TitleConstruction, Alderly Cottage, Little Cove, Noosa Heads, 1946 Additional InformationAlderly, a two storey, shingle roofed Tudor style cottage was constructed on the site in 1947 by Harold (Harry) Davis and friend Juan (Jack) Carl Grummette. The two men planned to build a Tudor village on the site party because they shared a keen interest in Elizabethan history and Davis's mother, Mary, missed the Tudor style house of her homeland. Davis had purchased the seven acres of land at Little Cove, Noosa Heads, in 1944. He moved to the locality from Brisbane in 1946. Davis and Grummette cleared a two-wheeled track to the property from Hastings Street and erected four tents on the land while they constructed the first of the Tudor cottages.Date1946Image NoM839261
