The Woods, located at the western end of Hastings Street on Noosa Spit, was originally rainforest Brush Box, Lilly-Pilly and Ash. The area became a popular landing place, picnic ground and fishing spot. In 1962 the Noosa Council cleared much of the vegetation to make space for camp sites.Date1953Image NoM839259
