Amongst stocks on display are dresses by Neater, Jenny Price and Susan Price, Finlaw, Ragtex, Stephenie Creations, Michael Asmar and John Baxter. Aly is excited about public response to her dress salon – ladies were knocking on the door before she was ready to open and she had to sell clothes straight out of the packing boxes because she didn't have time to put everything out on the stands. Crimpelenes sold particularly well at $9 and $10, sportswear by Van Dyke is popular (tops at $2.99 and shorts at $1.50), fashionable culottes and cotton dresses are going almost as soon as they are put on display. In fact, Aly has had to replace all dresses on the stands three times since opening last weekend! To keep up with this demand (and fashion trends) new stocks will be arriving at Mon Caprice every second day.
