Description
Anglican Archbishop, Dr G. Sharp, performed the stump-capping ceremony for the new St Luke’s Church in August 1923. The church was established on nearly half an acre of land in a central and elevated position in Kin Kin. The church was finally completed in 1926 and dedicated by Dr Sharp, the Archbishop of Brisbane at the time, with a gathering of over 300 people. A storm in February 1985 resulted in substantial damage to the building requiring major repairs.
The church has been deconsecrated but remains in the ownership of the Anglican Church.Address3,Grady Street,Kin Kin
