Additional InformationTony Frost has dedicated over six decades to aquatic sports, youth mentorship, and local advocacy. His journey began at eight years old with the Manly Swimming Club, later evolving into a lifetime of service as an active surf lifesaver at Sydney's Long Reef Club followed by Sunshine Beach Surf Lifesaving Club. In the early 1990s, Tony spearheaded the Nippers program at Sunshine Beach. Recognising a critical need for local training facilities, he became the inaugural president of the Noosa Olympic Pool Association (NOPA).
Through NOPA, Tony and the committee successfully lobbied Noosa Council resulting in the construction of the Noosa Aquatic Centre’s 50-metre Olympic pool. His immense civic contributions earned him life memberships at both the Noosa Swimming Club and Sunshine Beach Surf Lifesaving Club. Tony was also chosen three times as a local torch and baton bearer, for the 2000 Sydney Olympics, the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games, and the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.
