Also Known AsJ. PattemoreAdditional InformationWilliam John Pattemore was born in Uladulla, New South Wales on 2 July 1875 to John Robert and Emily Craddock (nee Organ) Pattemore. He married Lily Mary Woon in Alstonville, New South Wales on 16 February 1904. Soon afterwards, the couple moved to Queensland.
They had eight children, seven born in Queensland and one in New South Wales:

From approximately 1909 to 1917, the family were living in Maleny with William working variously as a dairyman and sawmiller. By 1919, William was in Tewantin, with occupation of motor-car proprietor. It appears that he made a move in 1925 to Brisbane, first living in James Street, New Farm, again as a motor car proprietor and then in Mansfield Street, Coorparoo working as a cab driver, as was his son William Leslie.
While living in Tewantin, William operated J. Pattemore’s Service Coaches, conveying visitors from the train station in Cooroy to Tewantin, Noosa and other local destinations.
William died on 11 May 1955.
His father John Robert Pattemore was a farmer in Maleny and the family home Pattemore House (Fairview) remains on the property and is State heritage listed.
