In April of 1983 and 1984, Cooroy played host to two landmark live music events that showcased the vibrancy of Australia's rock scene.
#1 - Noosa Aussie Hop '83
Saturday, 23 April – Picnic Racetrack, Cooroy The inaugural Noosa Aussie Hop featured line-up of nationally acclaimed acts, including Skyhooks, Midnight Oil, Mental As Anything, The Party Boys, Sunnyboys, and The Church. Supporting performances were delivered by two emerging Queensland bands: Black Market (Brisbane) and Hooker (Sunshine Coast), adding a strong local presence to the festival.
#2 - Noosa Aussie Hop '84
Sunday, 22 April – Easter Sunday. The second instalment headlined performances from Australian Crawl, The Radiators, Rose Tattoo, and Allniters, alongside additional artists such as Party Girls, Arms & Legs, 7 Ballerinas, Sigh of Relief and Ray Daver. Date1983 and 1984
