A series of 1980s photographs by Alan Grills, capturing some of the Sunshine Coast's rock concerts and sporting events.

Highlights include the 1982 concert at the Noosa AFL grounds featuring Cold Chisel and The Divinyls, and the 1983 'Noosa Aussie Hop' featuring Skyhooks and The Church. Alan's images also captured the vivid colours and energy of the Noosa Triathlon’s swim leg.

Shot on colour film, some of these images have also been shared with the State Library of Queensland.

Alan's photography reflects the raw atmosphere and dynamic composition typical of live event photography in the pre-digital era.
