Accompanying information on card 'Flower Gardens and Lawn. Area in front of school cleared in July, 1942. Beds and lawn timbered and laid down towards end of 1942. Organised gardening activities commenced in 1943 under the control of Miss Dick and Miss McKenzie. Good showing of blooms from April on. Exhibits from school won prizes in Gympie State High School flower show. There has been a particularly fine show of pansies and stocks.'
