"The old-timers of Pomona, some bearing the effects of Father Time, and others from the early pioneering days, when work was work, gathered at the 'Majestic Hall last Friday for a reunion dinner. The function was arranged by the Pioneers' Association, recently projected in the Noosa Shire, and the catering carried out by Mrs. E. M. Bunney.

Councillor C. J. R. Crank presided, and over 90 pioneers, or their sons and daughters, were seated at the tables. The hall was prettily decorated with streamers, and over the luncheon tables was a latticework of lavender, purple, and white streamers, from which were suspended festoons
of paper flowers. Crow's nest and numerous pot ferns— a most beautiful collection — gaily decorated the space between the tables and the stage. Music was rendered by Miss Toomey's orchestra, which added to the gaiety of the function. The chairman, before proposing the toast 'The King.' after the luncheon apologised
for Mrs. J. L. Boden, C. Livingstone, W. A. Bowman, N. McWilliams, W. J. Shepperson, and Mrs. C. J. R.
Crank. The toast was accorded musical honours."
