Down Ireland, died 7 Feb 1924 Brisbane) standing in the doorway of the home built by the Protestant Unity Group, either for John or Samuel McConnell at Skyring Creek settlement. House was built c1894 by the Protestant Unity Group - slab walls and bark roof. Photo taken between 1895 and 1910. The home was situated on Gardiner's Road, at the centre of the settlement, not far from the store and blacksmiths, and near where the church was later built.
