This school actually began in 1909 in a front room of the Moran family's house on Moran Group Road before formally establishing its own premises.
Historical Details of Moran Group School
Establishment: The school first began in 1909, operating out of the front room of the Moran family's house on Moran Group Road.
Status: It opened as a 'Provisional School' in 1910 to serve the children of early selectors and timber workers in the Kin Kin area.
Context: It was one of the four original schools in the region, along with Kin Kin Junction, Wahpunga, and the eventual Kin Kin State School.
Closure: The Moran Group School remained in operation until it closed in 1952. Date1913Image NoB134
